Meet the Actress Behind the Goddess . . .
Of all the
characters to appear so far in the Xena Warrior Milkmaid
Universe, Calfrodite is certainly the most unforgettable. A lot
of this is due in part to Angelique Trouvere, the woman who plays
our Goddess of Love und Milk und Honey. Angie has been performing
with Luna-C Productions since its start this year, and has worked
with many members of the group in the past on stage. She has
performed at several conventions over the past ten years, and
competed in as many costume contests. Angelique's costumes are
well known, and she is the only contestant to ever win both Best
in Show and Worst in Show at Costume Con, the annual convention
for the International Costumers Guild. Both prizes awarded at the
Historical Masquerade on two different years. Angelique is a
master of costuming. Her Calfrodite costume attracts attention at
every performance. Some of her other costumes include Red Sonja,
Queen Elizabeth I (from Black Adder II), and the Daggit from
Battlestar Galactic. On
the professional side, she has worked wardrobe for the DC
Shakespeare festival, Lord of the Dance, and other shows.
